Our cups are premium, reusable food storage containers with airtight/watertight screw-top lids, and we actually take them back for sanitation and reuse! They&apos;re also #1 PET and BPA-free which is the most curbside recycle-friendly plastic out there.&#xA0;We also put a lot of thought into whether we would be fully organic at the outset and decided against it. We are non-GMO, but the cost to go fully organic would push our average price point to around $18 a cup.&#xA0;This would significantly limit the number of people who could afford to eat clean on a regular basis with us, so we decided more produce for more people was the right path for now. We do plan on rolling out a separate line of fully organic Gardencups at some point soon!&#xA0;

(We looked into biodegradable packaging but none is robust enough to stand up to the rigors of shipping without a multi-million minimum order quantities for custom). We also put a lot of thought into whether we would be fully organic at the outset and decided against it. We do source some organic produce when availability permits, namely on the more susceptible items where it makes more of a difference (i.e. the dirty dozen), and we are non-GMO, but the cost to go fully organic would push our average price point to around $18 a cup. This would significantly limit the number of people who could afford to eat clean on a regular basis with us, so we decided more produce for more people was the right path for now.
